Daily Newsie

Lately things have gotten a little stagnant over here at DailyNewsie, which, quite frankly, cramps my style because it means I’m not writing anything except tirades about prospectus revisions. My life is better than that, people. In fact, this evening I’m nursing a roaring hangover from a series of parties that started last night for Halloween and ended this afternoon when Beloved and I had to leave the Homecoming football game because drunk DailyNewsie wasn’t feeling too swell. You can bet, though, that I was having a pretty darn good time from the first pre-Rocky Horror Picture Show drink last night up until earlier this afternoon when I ate the hot dog and nachos and then jumped up and down singing the fight song.

I digress. Point is, you’re all bored with me and I’m bored with myself. So, taking a cue from Courtney and Mickey over there on my blogroll, I’m giving NaBloPoMo the old college try. The aim is simple enough: you post every day for the entire month of November, sharing insightful observations into your personal life and eventually struggling to come up with stuff as Thanksgiving nears. Or so I assume. I may compile a list of emergency topics just in case: first date horror stories, stupid assignments at my former place of employment, an essay on DNC’s super-cute pullover-and-jeans combo on Friday. Do you think it would be cheating to write some of these in advance and just store them until a desperate day comes along? We will be traveling an awful lot for Thanksgiving …
